Thanksgiving Menu – Shopping List – Cooking Schedule
Thanksgiving Menu, Shopping List and Cooking Schedule
Wow! Can you believe it’s fixing to be Thanksgiving?
We have family flying in tomorrow and family driving in Thanksgiving Day.
We are excited to see everyone!!
I got my Thanksgiving menu and shopping list done. I have been shopping
and got a few items. I have never made a Thanksgiving Menu, Shopping List and a Cooking Schedule.
Here’s my menu: turkey and dressing, gravy, rolls, green beans, corn, celery sticks,
mashed potatoes, ham, fruit salad, deviled eggs, chocolate pies, lemon cake and
tea cakes.
My shopping list:
- turkey
- ham
- corn meal, celery, onion, ground sage, chicken broth, salt, pepper
- eggs, miracle whip, relish
- green beans
- corn
- potatoes
- apple, banana, pecans, marshmallows, cool whip
- cocoa, milk, butter, vanilla extract, flour, Crisco
- baking powder, baking soda, sugar, yeast, brown sugar, powdered sugar
I went grocery shopping today, got most of the items on my list. I will have to go back
and get the rest of ingredients on my list.
I put my ham out to thaw, I plan on cooking it Tuesday. We can eat ham sandwiches.
I will make my cake and cookies Tuesday and thaw out the turkey to cook it on Wednesday.
Our water company called, our water will be off Tuesday morning.
The water company is replacing a line. Its going to be a busy day!
Wednesday, I will cook the turkey, make the cornbread, cut the celery up and make rolls.
Thanksgiving day, I will prepare the dressing, boil the eggs, put the green beans and corn
into baking dishes, get the ham and turkey sliced to heat up, make 2 pitchers of sweet tea,
2 pitchers of unsweet tea, make deviled eggs, make the gravy, cut the
potatoes up and boil, make mash potatoes and make the pies.
Don’t forget to take breaks in-between cooking.
I hope I didn’t forget any of the ingredients. Maybe I can stay on my schedule.
Take care and enjoy!
