Homeschooling for Beginners

New to Homeschooling

Congratulations!!

I have been homeschooling for a long time!

Homeschooling is awesome, rewarding, challenging, and

somedays you wonder what have I done.

On the days, homeschooling is rough, go hug your child/children

and look at their beautiful faces.

Remember, you are a good Momma or Daddy.

When the days get challenging, go play outside, make cookies, and

have fun!

You can do this!

Homeschooling has a variety of ways of learning like

homeschool co-op, internet learning, workbooks and books.

My son likes learning from books and workbooks.

Every child is different on how they learn.

You will figure out what works best for your child.

Homeschooling has so many advantages over public school.

School can be taught anywhere and anytime.

Before you start homeschooling, look on the internet for the rules in your state.

I’m fortunate, I live in Texas.

Do your research first on your state, if your child has been going to school, you will

need to write a letter to withdraw your child from school to homeschool.

Homeschooling your child can include going on field trips like museums, zoos,

and going to the library.

You can homeschool in your pajamas!!  We always picked one day for pajama day.

If you are a single parent, you can still homeschool. I’m a single parent.

I have learned so much from my child.

When I first started homeschooling, I didn’t know anything.

I was scared, more like terrified! Homeschooling wasn’t very

popular. There wasn’t a whole lot on the internet.

We learn as we go.

Homeschooling is about teaching your child and enjoying all the moments.

If you have any questions, let me know.
